This quilt (http://karengriskaquilts.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/ferris-wheel-fan-quilt-and-pattern.html) by Karen Griska popped up in my blog feed and it's unsurprising that I found it too tempting to resist. You'll notice that she calls it a Ferris Wheel or a Fan Quilt, buti just can't move beyond the fact that it looks so much like a kaleidoscope I haven't been able to refer to it any other way since.
I immediately launched into a frenzy of buying and sewing 2 inch scraps. It came together really quickly because I just enjoyed whipping it up so much.
I've decide to go the whole hog and make it king size for our bed. The blocks will cover the top of the bed and I'll make a piano key border for the drape with all the left over fabric.
I'm very keen to get this finished to progress should continue to be quick. Stay posted!
