Another sewing bender.

School holidays have rolled around and Milly has come down for another sewing spree. We are very lucky that all the kids get on so well and have a great time playing and amusing themselves. We were also doing sheep work on the farm so several of them kept themselves busy pushing up sheep and earning pocket money to!

The first quilt I worked on was the rainbow squares. At Millys suggestion I added the thin coloured border around it each to finished them off nicely then added large white borders.

I have put this one away as a topper for now as I'm keen to get on with my next project.

My dresden plate arrived so the next thing I did was cut up all the triangles for my table runner. This is going to be a very colourful affair!

One of Milly's projects was her star blocks in red, white and blue. I was a bit dubious about this when when I saw the bundle of fabric, but in true Milly style she's managed to create something that looks fantastic. I was converted by the second block I saw. Can't wait to see how this comes together.

My final project was adding the borders to this flower quilt. I picked the fabric up in Perth a few weeks ago and finished the topper. I've quilted it in a simple grid fashion and just need to choose binding for it then it is all done. Not sure what I'm going to do with this one. I think I would like to gift it.
