I've had a long term loan of my sisters back up machine.


I gave it back to her over a month ago and I've been waiting since then so I could blog this!

Finished log cabin

I've finally finished the log cabin quilt for my girlfriend Jessamine.


I ordered zebra print online for the back so I had to wait for it to arrive. One it did I quilted it with big circles all over. It is quite a big quilt so it was difficult to maneuver it around my machine.


I tried the fold over binding method which was much quicker than hand stitching on a separate binding.


This will be delivered at the end of the month. I hope she likes it!

Star Cushion

I was messing around one day practicing these matching stripes. I made a star but didn't want to take it any further so it just sat on my design wall.



My mail lady admired it so I said I'd make it up into a cushion for her.



I did that on the weekend and had more fun messing around piecing the back out of scraps.
